We Measure Our Service not in Gold, but by the Golden Rule.
Greetings, this is Roger Hayden, RPT, (Registered Piano Technician), and BS in Music Ed.) Serving Northeast Pennsylvania since 1976.
Pianos represent culture at its highest state. To possess and maintain a fine piano indicates high artistic desires. No one needs a piano to survive. It will carry us nowhere, is inedible; will not warm or clothe us. It will not guard against intruders, it is too heavy to get out of your way.
Pianos need intelligent attention before there's any profit. You have to sit before them with intensity, purpose and skill. What you get back may not feed, clothe or shelter you, but it can lift your spirit, fill your mind and engage your heart like nothing else.
The Piano is historically the foundation for the incredible flowering of western music, for it was the first instrument devised that enabled melody, harmony and rich expression to explode from only ten fingers and a single creative mind. The piano nurtured the vocabulary that writes our music today.
Hayden Piano has Two main Goals:
1. To make the most of your piano!
a. We are a team of experienced piano technicians/musicians/performers/pianists whose depth and consideration for our clients has provided marvelous service to the musical community for combined five decades.
b. We can provide every service any piano can need, and are experienced in every phase. Tuning, regulation, voicing, major and minor repairs, even total rebuilding. Evaluations, appraisals and consultation also provided.
2. To educate and stimulate musicianship!
a. Mr. Hayden returned to private teaching in 2005 for two days a week and has grown a flock of fast learning, bold playing, joyful students that are changing the 'musical' fate of families, churches and schools throughout Northeast Pennsylvania.
b. Mr. Hayden has written and published the "High Achiever Piano Instructor", we call it the HAPI book. You can see the results of the HAPI book's students on page two of the website.
c. Mr. Hayden has also worked with congregations and home schooling organizations to stimulate vocal music reading, parts singing, and choral experiences. This also may result in an instruction manual.
Enjoy your visit. There may be some amazing things to learn here.

As an experienced Piano Tuner Technician, former public school teacher and recently returned private piano teacher I know what the student needs to excel. I also know parents don't have endless dollars, so it gives us particular joy make the family piano sound its best, or to put really fine instruments in front of excited musicians (for a reasonable price) and watch the musical fireworks.
Here at Hayden's we have or can get pianos for your Home, Schools, Churches, Piano Teachers, and match demanding professional needs.
We can also often find that specific piano that you are looking for.
Pianos are for playing. Our goal is that the pianos we service and the pianos we sell will be magnets for the pianist, and give great pleasure when played. We strive for excellence in Fine Tuning, Quality of Tone, and an Even Touch, so that all is done to equip and encourage the player.
Mr. Hayden is experienced in all phases of the piano, first as a performer, composer, and accompanist, and is a former public school and private piano teacher. He is also a registered tuner with the Piano Technician's Guild, has performed complete piano rebuilding, and action regulation and is adept at the fine art of string and hammer voicing. He has also trained several tuners and teaches different phases of the technology. We are also experienced in harpsichord tuning and maintenance.
In recent years he has been asked to teach classes at the Pennsylvania Piano Technician's Convention.
Thanks for the visit.
